Diane is a native of Southwest Virginia where she began a love for the outdoors and appreciation of the colors and beauty always around us. She and has lived her adult life in the Birmingham area. She has always had a love of art and anything art-related. She began painting in a realistic style but soon found herself drawn to non-representational art.

She enjoys creating mixed media pieces with textures, words, objects, and anything that adds interest and depth. The viewer can write their own story of what the art says to them. She also enjoys oil landscapes and painting a variety of subjects such as animals and still life and she experiments with different media. “I am definitely a work in progress and I continue to learn new things about art every day,” she says. Currently, she lives in Moody, Alabama with her husband and her two art critics, Ali the Maltese and Lizzie the Cat.
